While much of the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic may be behind us, the virus continues to infect and affect people and communities all over the world. And even though most of us have been vaccinated or previously infected the virus still presents a significant risk for certain populations of people, particularly the elderly or those who are immunocompromised. Because of the ongoing risks and our commitment to the safest and healthiest environment we can provide to our patients and team members many of the changes made in our offices and to our systems at the start of the pandemic remain in place today… We are 100% committed to clean and safe dental offices…
We have eliminated masking requirements for patients but we encourage anyone entering an office to wear a mask if they would prefer. If you forgot your mask but would feel more comfortable wearing one, simply ask a team member and we would be happy to provide one for you.
All of our offices are following necessary local and federal guidelines for COVID protocols in health care facilities. Our team members have required quarantines for suspected or confirmed COVID exposures and proper periods of required isolation with conformational negative testing to return to work is required for all employees.
For any patient who has been recently exposed to a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 person we ask you to abide by the CDC guidelines and remain in quarantine for the recommended 5 days. For persons with a confirmed case of COVID-19 the CDC recommends a minimum of 5 days of isolation followed by 5 days of masking in public or indoor spaces. Because of the unique constraints of dental treatment (you are unable to wear your mask during your dental cleaning or procedure) we kindly ask that anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 please postpone their appointment to allow for a full 10 day isolation period.
If you need to postpone or cancel your appointment due to COVID exposure or diagnosis please call your Town & Country Dentistry office.
